If you think it is wrong for government to give special priveleges to people with money...?

does that make you a marxist?

When Joe from Manhattan called in 1998 to complain about the city government giving special parking privileges to a white-shoe law firm, Giuliani emitted an audible groan into the microphone.

"Well, let me give you another view of that rather than the sort of Marxist class concept that you're introducing," Giuliani said.

Then there was David from Oceanside, who was president of Ferrets' Rights Advocacy. He was furious that the city health code had just been changed to bar ownership of ferrets.

Well, what you're getting at is a right-wing tactic. Its the same thing that happens when Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity yell "Class Warfare!" whenever someone brings up the idea of an ignored working class (and we are ignored.) By bringing up these deep-seated fears of socialism and communism, they are trying to build support for their views. Its ingenious, really. Its aided thousands of people to vote against their economic situation so that they can prevent the commies from getting America too.

So no, I don't think it makes you Marxist if you think its wrong for the government to give special privileges to people with money. I think it makes you intelligent and compassionate. After all, I thought "all men are created equal," was an American ideal.
Reply:Hillary is the worst possible candidate for president. Guliani is a close second.
Reply:So, what's to disagree with? Rudi was right on both counts. The wealthy do get special priviliges, in every country in the world. Anyone who thinks they can change that which has been going on since the beginning of time is naive.
