none! A pet should be for life, and what happens if he doesnt like the animal you get? What will become of the animal...now if he has mentioned really wanting a pet, then think about the lifestyle...a Dog is a people pet..they need to socialize and have a lot of contact with their owner, along with plenty of exersice...and where a rodent type, or reptile doesnt require daily hands on..but require a special cage and diet. A cat is a semi-social creature, meaning they like attention but on their own terms such as maybe to doze on your lap in the evening
So I would re-think the idea! Maybe probe him see what he would prefer to have before you jump into buying a pet
Reply:From the 3 you mentioned.. any man would want a DOG... get him a baby pitbull or bulldog... HE WILL DEFINITELY BE SATISFIED!!! Maybe even a rottweiler!

Reply:Cats are great pets, and they dont need walking or anything.. they are class! You just feed em, and de-flea em occasionally... but when u need them they ALWAYS there.. Plus dogs cant sit on your lap!
