It is quite funny.


Can anybody tell me what is so special on shoes?

What is it with women and shoes?
i'm a woman and i used to look down my nose at other women who spent all their money on dinky shoes and high heels in 3 different hues of pink ....... until i realised that i had 4 pairs of white trainers/sneakers, 2 blue pairs and a pair of orange ones, too ..... and then i realised that *gasp* I WAS JUST LIKE ALL THE OTHER WOMEN!!!





i liken it not to football, but rather to gadgets. remote controls. a man will look at a gadget that puts the lid back on the toothpaste and go 'ooh, look at that!' the same way as a woman will look at a shoe that has a great heel/no laces/beautiful fabric. it's just the way we are :)

on the other hand shoes are an item of clothing, a way of making yourself the centre of attention, expensive and materialistic
Reply:hmmm, got me thinking now, I have loads of shoes, some I really cannot walk in but they look lovely when I am sitting down. Dunno really, but I cannot resist them and boots I have loads of boots, I don't like stilletos very much, prefer sling back kitten heels, far more stylish. Well I suppose they are a universal thing, doesn't matter how big you are, old or whatever we can all appreciate a sexy pair of shoes ..... lipstick is my obsession, don't get me started on that

Reply:Womens clothing is much more complicated than boys. For girls, The shoes have to match both in color and style. Therefore, we need more shoes. I love shoes, but don't have a lot of money, but I have a few really nice pairs, and I always get compliments on them. It fun to get compliments, so ladies, Keep wearing those FANTASTIC SHOES!
Reply:Not all girls are obsessed about shoes. I myself have 2 pairs one for everyday use and one dressy pair.





but i guess the girls who are obsessed like to have a variaty so that their shoes can match or maybe for different occasions like high tops for support, slip ons for conveince....and so on

us girlies need shoes to match all our different outfits! We like to accesorise .. hence why we also like bags and jewellry!


Plus wouldn't be too good to go bare foot or wear our dog walking shoes with a slinky nightgown!?!(well maybe some men might like that)! who knows...you decide!You can go 50/50, phone a friend or ask the audience!!

Reply:I wish I could explain it to you, but I cannot and I am a woman. I have shoes to match every mood. And in a woman's life there are thousands of mini-moods. If I like the style of the shoes, I want it in every colour. When I think of treating myself, a pair of shoes is top of the list. If I am feeling down, a new pair of shoes will lift me up instantly! Shoes can be works of art which make the wearer feel unique, sexy etc.. I have shoes that I have never worn but bought simply because they were beautifully made and uncommon.

Reply:I am a woman but I have always hated shoes. I love sandals and boots though! Have quite a collection of sandals but only a few pairs of boots. No shoes. Shoes are so silly.

well, they just want to look good and they want the shoes to match their outfits. and since there are more colors than black and white....


and i guess there's also another thing: admiting they have an obsession like this one, that is supposed to reflect how feminine they are, makes them feel special.


everyone just shines with happiness when they have a tiny little secret. well, in women's case, this secret is shoes. (well, it varies from woman to woman, some could be obsessed with bags or make-up..)

Reply:It's a girl thing. Men wear shoes to keep their feet warm and dry. We wear shoes for all kinds of reasons. We can wear shoes which make us happy. We can wear bright shoes when we are feeling a bit down. We can have five different shades of pink shoes, each to match a different outfit. We might decide that today is a high heel day, or a medium heel day or a flat heel day. I feel sorry for men that they do not have this choice available to them.

I have 9 pairs of shoes and I still think that not all of them go with all of my outfits, I have a differrent pair everyday!

Reply:Shoes put the finishing touch to an outfit, and influence the way you feel (the higher the heel the more sexy). Shoes can also tell you alot about the preson wearing them.
