Stride Right vs Gap/Old Navy Infant shoes.?

How important are proper" shoes for a 16-24 mo old when they grow out of them so fast? Last time I went to Stride Right bought closed toe and sandals and they were cute, but I'm not sure that they really helped properly shape or control her walk/step as I think they say. (she doesn't need special type shoes) Any input on what you have expierenced?

Stride Right vs Gap/Old Navy Infant shoes.?
Stride Rites are designed with your toddler's foot in mind, they have proper support in the proper areas.

Gap and Old Navy shoes are fine I'm sure, but if you talk to you doctor I'm sure he'd recommend the Stride Rites rather than any other.

Good Luck
Reply:I bought my son Stride-Rites ... until my pediatrician told me there's no difference and he buys his own childrens' shoes at Target.
Reply:Stride Rite will provide her more support than places like Old Navy.

Also- Keds. I would by my little girl the cutest Mary Jane tennis shoes (Leather) at Keds.com. She wore these from the time she was walking until age 4. They still sell them. They gave her great support and the little tennis were so cute you could use them with dressier outfits.

You can also go on Ebay and find better deals on Stride Rite Shoes. Try www.zappos.com for other brands as well.

The Keds ran about $25.
Reply:i swear by stride rite for a good sneaker

but sandals i did old navy and gap

so its just what u perfer

i actually buy both lol

i love little kids shoes

i have 3 pairs of sneakers for my child and 3 pairs of sandals

i dont really think they grow out of them that quickly but all kids are different at some point it will slow down
Reply:When my kids were toddlers I bought shoes with a flexible sole. A pretty good fit with a little (but not too much) growing room. Those were priorities before the brand name of the shoes.
Reply:I don't think it's a big deal once they've already hit the toddler stage. I bought my daughters shoes everywhere though and now that she's three she's still fine and her feet are ok :-)

I buy shoes from Nike, stride right, converse, but my fave place to buy sandals is honestly target lol....
